End of the month is now approaching! Its time North London meets again. .

Shall we call it :

South Mimms Services Car Park

Let's try make it an even larger turn out!

p.S . . . Person with the most shiny detailed car to get a Mars bar - and I declare myself the winner!

Hi Ivan,
I believe Esh is away at the moment so good to see that someone has started the ball rolling.
Could we not try and make it somewhere more interesting than South Mimms services ? that place is fine as a meeting point for other places ie, Santa Pod and the like, but as a sit and chat venue, SURELY NOT.
Wherever it is I shall be there, of that you can be sure, I don't like mars Bars so i will be only too happy to remove a Bounty Bar from you, providing of course it is still unopened and not been used for anything dodgy !!!!!!!!
Time to get me wax out again, and time for you to find your shades, YOU ARE GOING TO NEED THEM.

Wink p21S at dawn!

Ralph! Matie . . .!

. . .How are you!? . .South Mimms is ofcourse entirely negotiable . .I just thought it would be good to rotate away from the TGI's as we did last time . . The reason I chose S.Mimms, is its fairly staright forward to get to from N.London . . .And as a sit down +chat venue . .Surely we could grab a coffee at the Services . . . . But one thing I will say! Its truly not a glamorous venue! That I will agree . . .
. . .In any event , we'll finalise it with ESH when he's back . . Who know's - maybe he'll suggest Brent Cross Car Park . . . (God save us), but time being lets just use S.Mimms as a reference point . . . . .

. . .And Ralph, I still presume we are having our p21S show down . . .But as I mentioned before . .I will get my shades out, but please don't forget your space suit! AS my car will be so shiny , you will see it from outer space - as far as the Alpha Centauri! . .But on a serious note - I feel I may have the advantage, because under my p21S, I have three coats of Autoglym Super resin Polish, Autoglym Ultra deep gloss and Extra Gloss protection! - And that deserves a Mars Bar for sure!

Andy and his pedantic antics! . . Yes mate! Will also post on Southern section! Just thought to get some initial exposure on General!. . And don't worry mate - we'll wait for you as long as we must, especially as we'll hear your car all the way from Islington! . .Hope to see you there mate!

Shof . .Matie . .All's well my side . . How's yr Scoob ? Running like a dream???I also have a Subaru top - but feel I may look like a Subaru mechanic if I wear it! Instead, I will either wear my "Fast cars, nudie bars t-shirt", or my Yellow T-shirt saying TAXI, just in case any tasty bird wishes to hail me!

No problems there mate! But as far as the loudest car goes - I think alloy wins hands down! . .Though knowing this weather, I may even forego the detailing . . . .

Take cares . . . .Hope to see you then!

Ivan,
I have already got a couple more (at least) that will be coming that were not at the last meet so looks like it could turn out to be a goodun.
I am glad you mentioned the bit about the weather coz I thought i would make a start today with some cleaning and the moment i stepped outside the bloody skies opened up, it got me to thinking if this was all worth a BOUNTY BAR.
Has anyone got any more thoughts on another venue otherwise before we all know it the day will be here and South Mimms it will be, being to late in the day to change it.

. . .I hear what yr saying Nikki . . But the decision is not strictly speaking up to me, so lets just see where the general concensus takes us . . .Just keep and eye on this thread in the next couple of days . .More likely than not, the time and place may change . . AS I said - we're fully open to suggestions . .

. . . .Have a good w/e!

. .Ivan x

P.S . . Ralph . . .The weather is always a factor . .So if it rains, then we can have a competition for the tallest beads of water on our paintwork!

P.P.s . .I think its cool to set the time for a bit later, but as long as its during hours of daylight, so we can admire the shiny paintwork!

Later afternoon/early evening is better for me as well, at least I will have more time to spend with my dearly beloved (the one indoors, not in the garage).
I feel very nauseous all of a sudden, what could have bought that on ?

Count me in for a meet up!

3pm sounds ok with me, but will keep checking incase time changes.

Just a thought for venue as South Mimms is a bit.. well... you know... How about the retail park on the North Circular inbetween the Friern Barnet Tesco's turn off and the New Southgate Rail st turn off... do you know where I mean? Theres ample parking and even a MacDonalds- wow!

I dunno just an idea but theres nothing much there in the way of grabbing a beer... no police driving by as its off the beatin track is on the plus side!

Arrow NEW TIME AND PLACE . .OPINIONS PLEASE

OK Guys and Girls (that means you Nikki - but only if yr tasty) . . .

. . I can see the dilema here, so lets just try and conclude this . .I see South Mimms Services is not an entirely agreeable proposition, and 1500 may be a bit too early for some . . . .

So how this for a suggestion . . .

New time will be 1700 . . We all cool with that??

and alternative venue could be

1) as last time TGI's car park Enfield retail Park off the A10

2) the retail park on the North Circular inbetween the Friern Barnet Tesco's and the S.Gate R.Sation Turn off . . .

3)TGI's car park near the 5 ways corner, sort of in the Mill Hill area . .

Oooooookaaaaay!

So here it is guys . .Let your opinions do the talking!

TGI's at 5 Ways Corner has a kinda little car park, doubt we'll fit in there... unless we over flow into the Homebase/Comet/Argos car park?

That's exactly what I meant Alex . .Argos+ Homebase will be closed by 1700 . . .So does that mean yr vote is for 5 ways???I'm also cool with 5 ways . . .

Hi Peeps just got back from my hols and see Ivan has started the preperations for our 2nd meet. Well done mate.

I've got a mega busy week in front of me and will be travelling back from Cornwall to make this meet so you and Ralph had better have those cars spick and span!!

As things stand I p/m'd one of the boys from the 'North London Scooby Club' but have had no reply so if anyone else can get in touch please feel free.

Onto next sunday:

Sorry Ivan but some of us have lives mate......

Sunday 27th @ 5pm at TGI's A10.

I think its best that we continue to meet here till things pick up. Plus TGI's do a mean Oreo Milkshake.

If anyone has a better idea for a venue (Ralph) please let us know.

Anyway good night all

Esh

I agree with Esh and Ivan, until we get the meet as a regular thing with fair numbers in attendance lets stick with TGI's Enfield at 5 o'clock. We could always discuss future venues at this meet.
Esh, hope you had a goodun?
