Had memo in work today that plans are well under way to start up more action regarding fuel prices. As I work for a company that operates a public emergency service and has regular meetings with the Dep of Transport and Trade I would take what I heard very seriously. Have been told that all company vehicles must have full fuel tanks at all times with immediate effect. Might be all wrong but worth bearing in mind.

Chip.

Cheers Chip. I'll keep the motor topped up from now on.

Don't spent too much time listening to Red Dragon FM now will you.

I have a mate who works for major oil companies.

They are geared up for some action post Oct 31st, i.e. when Brown makes his pre-budget statement.

Regards

Whether there is action or not at the end of the deadline - people wil stil panic buy beforehand so it will turn into a mini-shortage anyway. Like when the Red Dragon hoax happened and people rushed out to get petrol.

With Railtrack saying that the train services will not be back to normal until the week before Christmas - it will be an ideal time for the fuel-tax lobby to take action against high fuel costs, as it will have more of an effect if the train system is bu66ered at the time of the action.
