Is Main dealer the only option for key spares?

Is Main dealer the only option for key spares?
I am looking for a chipped key for a 99 impreza, main dealer quoted £75 + vat.
Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative?

unfortunately Yes, I had only one key when I bought my Scoob from a main dealer, I was lucky enough they gave me a blank spare and I took it to my local dealer who looks after my car who cut it and programmed it.

Prosport in Stockport quoted me about £60, think it was about £30 for the blank and £30 or £35 for the coding. Ended up getting it done via a friend of a friend for £20 for key, coding and cut, they came to me as well
