Which breakdown service?
My question is, and I am open to suggestions, where can I find a cheap breakdown service.
I could use the AA or RAC, however about 95% of the time I am within a 10 mile radius of where I live and if my car breaks down, I will not have too much of a problem in getting it towed home, but I want some type of breakdown assistance if I ever go further afield.
I begrudge paying £150 per year for something I will only need about 3 times a year.
Thanks for your help in advance
Andy

I see what you mean. Didn't make myself too clear did I??
What I meant was I can recover myself within a 10-20 mile radius of my home, but when I'm out of the area, I want peace of mind that if my car did breakdown, there would be someone I could call, but as I'm not out of the area too often, I don't want to pay £150 per year just in case.
hope that makes sense now.

Backed by the RAC but they ask a few extra questions and rate a fair bit cheaper

Search 'breakdown'. Youll pay from £32 (!) if you opt for a pay and claim service ('relay').
