Default Exhaust to loud

Ive got a full stainless on the scoob, I was doing a lot of motorway driving this weekend and I felt like a hornet in a glass jar. Its to loud, is there some kind of valve I can fit inline to quieten it down for normal every day driving with the option of opening it up if Im on the roast. Im sure I saw something somewhere.

bung, metal restrictor that fits in the end of the exhaust, should quieten it down some, might have to resort to replacing cats if its to loud even with bung in

depends on what make exhaust, maybe try giving www.scoobyclinic.com a bell and seeing what size's Adam can get hold of, if he can.

Depending on what you have, H&S should be able to make you a bung to fit. They've done it for quite a few peps on this forum iirc..

I called: http://www.haywardandscott.co.uk/

Gave them the tailpipe size etc and a couple of days later the bung arrived. £35 it cost. Doing some motorway miles tomorrow (350) so will be able to see if there's any difference.

You could also check if your centre section is resonated. Without the resonated centre section, there's more of in-cabin boom.

Open the window a crack, it seems to stop the booming in my cabin with the 5Zigen

Thats on top of the 1" kingspan, 3/4" MDF and dynomat in the boot

Im not sure what make of exhaust it is Ill have to look, its a straight through though to the rear box. Will this bung affect horsepower? I have a wagon so this is probably why its louder.
