Drove to all 4 tesco filling stations today(bournemouth/poole area) and all had 'OUT OF USE' on the 99'ron pumps,anyone else experience that in their areas?...its just i remember reading a thread a few weeks ago about tescos's discontinuing the fuel...If there was any thruth in it then it looks like its started....lol

 

no the fuel will be staying cause they are getting a lot of publicity for the rally which they are sponsoring. i also filled up in lincoln and it was okay.
most likely just a local supply shortage. damn lazy HGV drivers!!! LOL

 

Well, I was pleasantly suprised when I passed Tesco's in Gloucester and 99RON was available for the first time. Been there for a week or so apparently. Filled her up for 4p a litre cheaper than the usual optimax + I like the idea of using an ethanol blend as its 5% less cash going out of UK economy.

 

That wont last! The thieving slags now have the audacity to charge more for 99RON than Shell were charging for Optimax the other day!

im from the Poole area too and i think the Tower Park and Branksome stations have been out of 99 for about a week now. Tower Park told me on Sat that they were having a delivery that night... turned up on Sunday to fill and apparently the fuel was on backorder.

Gone crawling back to Shell in Kinson instead for Optimax (101.9p)

 

Its a supply shortage, theres a thread on hampshire subaru about it. Someone emailed Tesocs who said it should now be back to normal but its not as theres still none at millbrook or bursledon....

 

My RA doesn't like it - went back to Optimax + NF after just one tankfull

 

ra 's use different compression ratio's to new age so consistency may matter!

plenty of tescos finest up here in scunny. as soon as i pull up in the petty station the counter girls give me a smile, they know im paying their wages for another month!!!

hope they dont get rid, not too keen on optimax, but ive only ever seen me using tesco 99 at the pumps. not that i stare at other people mind

On subject - i find kinson Shell about one of the fairest garages around.. if prices go up they always seem to be the last to do it and appear to try not to at times.
