Anyone know if the stockport branch has it now or a link to that site that tells you where its at. Sure i read somewhere that optimax still out performs it??

Doesn't look like it is available @ Stockport yet - I'd try it if it was! - Wigan seems to be nearest. See link below.

If you do your research you will find optimax is more stable...

OPTIMAX....................LOL, Going by how my re-mapped 03 STI PPP runs on tescos 99 , I will never waste my hard earned cash paying for well over priced optimax! But then again there are lots of folks on here who will spend a fortune on fancy oils, because of the name, so i guess Shell are on to a winner!

I know quite abit about Optimax thank-you! My car has only ever been run on Optimax (with maybe the odd exception in the last 3 years). Just heard mixed views on Tesco 99 Ron. Some say it's great, other don't rate it.

That means there's only one way to find out - try it!

Tesco 99 ron sponser the BRC, infact they supply controled fuel from 50 gal drums to competiors if they choose to use it, so is what you get at the pumps the same, I think not, think long and hard..

Its the same price! Tesco have started to take the **** massively as its become more popular. On introduction the price followed diesel but here in Sheffield its been a penny dearer than Optimax at times. Six miles down the road in Chesterfield its 3p per litre dearer; if Tesco took the **** with the price of bread and milk like that thered be hell to pay.

Agree with both of the above - 3p per litre extra over Optimax.

TBH I found that the car did'nt run as smoothly on Tesco 99 as it does on Optimax (MY03 STI PPP).

I'm going back to optimax.

Agree it does make the car run smoother but Tesco 99 gives it the extra bit of reponse. Tescos for me. Tried Optimax a couple of times and really didn't like it. WRX 02 remapped.
