you need a steering wheel boss (funnily enough i got mine from demon tweeks )

it's a pain in the backside to do to be honest, it involves a lot of fiddling with the horn and i've lost the use of the self cancelling indi's but the wheel is a definate improvement on the standard one fitted to my car

just wondering though, why do you want to change the steering wheel?? aren't the type R's fitted with the Momo wheel??

also notice you're local to me give us a yell if you need any more info/help etc etc

MY97 but they're all the same (apart from the earlier models that had no airbag as standard)

you can even fit steering wheels from newage blob/bug eye Imprezas with a bit of jiggery pokery to the airbag wiring

you do realise that your whole srs system is now defunct!! and in the event of an accident will not function!!

no i havent declared it to the insurance and i didnt relaise the whole system wasthe defunked untill after i brought the airbags, i have now got the glovebox where the passenger side was! it was only low speed bump just that it hit the near side trigger bang on the nose and i dont intend on another air bag going off in my face as they burn!!!

Fitted Momo wheel to replace the Nardi on my '95 import. Got a boss kit from Halfords, and did a little adjusting using a coleman's mustard pot lid to get the self cancelling indicators to work. It is an **** job, but the wheel is definately worth it. Good luck!
