Trolls
Why do it?
You really need to sit down and take a look at yourselves.
This a a forum for people who like Subarus come to to interact with like minded people.
Why do you feel you must ruin the threads on here by turning almost every thread into a pile of tosh
There is a dedicated muppet section for this, so you have no reason to post anywhere else on this site.
I usually try to not let them get to me, but today i haven't bothered finishing most of the threads i have started reading as they have turned into an irrelevant (sp) waste of time.
I cannot understand why people who hate the cars so much feel the need to come here and ruin it for everyone else
You need to grow up and seriously take a good look at yourselves, most of you are adults FFS, but you act like little children
And even more amusing is that no matter how funny they try to be they still feel the need to hide behind false logins.
As GC8 said earlier something needs to be done asap, as this place is turning into a joke.

Free website with pathetic levels of moderation. What do you expect? Having said that those that take the bait are just feeding the trolls. However certain threads do benefit from an injection of humour, some people tend to take things a little too seriously.

Please don't work on any rockets in the near future
Myself and the Webmaster have started to and will clamping down on trolls, please help us and rtm any Troll type behaviour

I must agree, as a newish user of scoobynet and a user of many other forums I was surprised by the amount of useless idiots on the site with nothing better to do.
I regularly use an enduro motorcross forum with which I race and they are all helpful. I dont now of any bad/abusive posts ever put on there. And its free too.
It seems there are too many people on here with there own personal opinions (which is up to them) BUT, to go with it a total lack of any technical know how to answer any questions posed, so, they just type cr@p.
Thats my two penneth anyways.

Abusive and personal trolling should not be tolerated at any point. However I would be lieing if I said I have not laughed out loud at some of the posts by the aforementioned protagonists. Yes we need to curb this insidious personal attacking but some tomfoolery and banter is acceptable isn't it? I don't mind someone having a laugh at my expense as long as I can join in.

Totally agree with you and i know what you are refering to Gary as i was on the same thread.
To be honest some people dont help things by reacting (something i'm soooo guilty of
) its my short fuse y'see.
It has and is getting worse and something needs to be done.
A lot of people will say dont worry its a free site, maybe so but if the site, degenerates into a load of tosh then the genuine people will bugger off - as a result advertisers will pull the plug which what really keeps Scoobynet going - and then what?
The Moderators do a fantastic job on here but ultimately the person who cracks the whip when people push to far are Simon and Shaun - although i'm not sure how involved Simon is with the t'internet side of things and i'm pretty sure that Scoobynet is not the only thing that Shaun is involved with and i dont know how much time he puts into it - so come on Shaun, Scoobynet is your baby i'm sure people will help as much as possible in reporting these Trolls, ***** in your court buddy - lets get something sorted.
