Default How to get silicone sealant off glass????

As above anyone know please, got it on g/f's windscreen where tax disc holder is but need to remove it???

Heat! You can use a lighter to warm it up not too much so it melts and burns everything. Then just rub it with your fingers like you would getting a packaging lable off plastic ;-)

Be careful though, it doesnt like being set alight, all you need to do is warm it up!

Got to agree with the sharpest of stanley blades.

I tryed everything to remove some sili sealer after I used it to put an extra mirror up on the front windscreen (to watch my 5 yr old pocket monster try and destroy the back of my car).

The best way to do it is to hold the blade at 45% and scrap carefully. The glass should not scratch.

use a blade or order some silicone disolver from screwfix

stanley blade will do fine pop some oil on it to help it NOT scratch the glass.

Simple, a product called "silicone remover" does the job in 10 mins

BTW,WD40 also works,so does petrol if u like.
