#1
Had a look on autotrader.co.uk today and there are 17 P1's for sale some at very reasonable prices. Hope the trend continues, because I'll be able to pick one up for a song in April when my car goes back.
This one appears to be the pick of the crop.
SUBARU IMPREZA PIWR 5000 miles, cherished plate, P1 in UK May 2000, full Subaru warranty, a/c, e/w, e/m, abs, pas, Hella driving lamps, c/l, tracker, Cat 1 Prodrive upgrade, 18" wheels, silencer, electric recaro seats, £2200 ice, all weather cover, mint £32,500
This is a 40K+ car going at a 8K discount. I wish it was April.

Paul,
I take your point about the extras. Bear in mind that these items will only be worth about 30% of their "new" value within a couple of years.
According to CAP, a new Impreza Turbo loses about 25% of it's value in the first year. Apply this to the P1 and you have your 8K.
Just trying to be helpful.

A one year old nicely run in P1 for £23-24k sounds good, I might even buy one. I think Prodrive made a mistake building 1000 of them. Should have been 500 only or even 555 would had been better for new owners residual values. Still a much better investment than 90% of cars out there. Your average Nissan/Ford/Vauxall/Rover will lose ~40% in year one. Personally, I'll buy a second hand one of these before I buy the new MY01. Just imagine if the new shape STI's get European Type approval. In a years time these might be available on import new from Holland for £20-22k That will certainly whack P1's, and maybe even 22B's.
