Default Fitted induction kit, now car won't idle or rev

After fitting the kit my 2001 turbo will not idle, or rev. does the ECU have to be reset after fitting? Or is the MAF buggered? all was working fine until the kit was fitted. Anyone had this problem?
Thanks

The Maf's certainly don't like induction kits, i changed for an induction and replaced the Maf for good measure.

You could have it the wrong way round? On my car when the MAF was put the wrong way round it would start and then the revs would climb to the idle point and then it would just cut out instantly.

HTH.

I'll try turning it round. It only fits one way in the pipe but I could have the whole pipe the wrong way round.

What he said, did the same thing on mine, and needed to turn it the right way round afterwards

Yeah, turned it round and bingo, it runs. Sounds sweet. Thank you VERY much for your help. I'm a happy man now
