Default Track Day Oil

Hi All

I bought my 02 Sti just for track usage, and plan to change the oil after every two track days, but know nothing about which oil to use.

I have searched and found the topic of oil discussed many times but not specifically about an oil suitable for track use, can anyone help.

Only Mods to the car are PPP and xedy clutch.

thanks

I wouldnt change it so frequesntly though; its a complete waste of money and it serves no purpose. The principal advantage of a decent fully synthetic oil, is its longevity. Motul should last you a complete season but if you feel that you have to; change it half way through. Better at the end of the season though.

The likes of Silkolene Pro S and Motul 300V will be good for 10 track hours.

Cheers

I agree with Tony.
Motul good stuff.
I used to change it every 3000,but oil looked so good that now change at the service intervals, otherwise wasting money ( road use)
Would consider changing every 3000 miles if doing 2 or more track days, but the oil is good and should not deteriate at the high temps, but piece of mind.
