Whiplash?????

Unfortunately you can get it at very low speeds, any time you're not expecting it, it can be jaring - for example, if you've ever walked down stairs in a daze and thought there was another step and jammed you foot into the ground, that is bad enough and can put a knee out if you're unlucky

My first whiplash happened when I was stationery - thank you Mr Bus Driver - another is embarrassing, let's just say it involved a motorbike and me flicking off the back of it - and the final, minor whiplash happened at about 40-50mph. All in all I've had a good few years suffering from it, having my back and neck cracked every week or two, but this is the first year that my back's been just about returned to normal. Doesn't matter what speed

I've just put in a claim for whiplash, some soppy old duffer in a Fiesta hit me up the ar4e whilst I was sitting at a set of lights,
The thing is i've just got myself straight from a previous accident,
I was hit by a drunk at over 100 mph.......So to say I'm pi55ed off with them is a understatement, BTW........the guy that hit me last week was about 75 and could not get out of his car cos he was disabald, He said to me I was pushing the brake pedal as hard as I could but it would not stop........soppy old sod should not be on the road, the only thankful thing I was not in my Scoob.
Cheers

yes, i got whiplash from tensing up as i saw the car coming, in my rear view mirror while sitting at traffic lights. saw the car lock up and skid into the back of me. i was off work for 2-3 weeks, nothing too serious though(doing a manual work at the time).
hope you are ok and it not too serious.

You can get a 5g head acceleration in a crash at five miles an hour. The speed of impact is unimportant. It does not make that much diference if you "see it comming" because the muscles in the neck are not strong enough to stop excessive hyper-flexion /extension.
