I'm not worried by the fuel consumption, just amused - and was kind of thinking - blimey, what does it do if you're really going for it - hence the boost guage thought....

And yes, I have Firestorm, too!

Just "useless" information really.
But more on the serious side it is being booked in for an oil change this week.
Top speed 155mph but still can't get over 6,100rpm.

Bajie,

Don't forget a certain friend of our using half a tank of fuel in his Supra in about 70 miles... we will not talk about the velocity though... That's over 30 liters!!

My SPS and ZX use the go juice like it is going out of fasion when you use the loud grip..!!

Airmiles,

Get yourself on a few of the track days next year and really see the fuel gauge move

After about an hour or so you can spot the "Usual Suspects" heading off to the nearest SUL pump for the first refill of the day

Well, just had the 1000 miler so I've FINALLY been able to open her up - and very satisfying it is, too. Could have been even more fun except for the cop-car sitting behind me all the way past Box Hill.....

Though as with all these things, the diference between a run-in Scoob and a new Scoob is nowhere near the difference between a new Scoob and a Toyota Carina (sadly, this is not a joke - always been into bikes before now) - now I can see why people go for PPP.

It does, however, pose a question - why get a boost guage when the velocity of the petrol guage needle seems to do the job??!!

It was a bit of light hearted lateral thinking caused by using 1/4 tank in 50 miles.

What's YOUR point?

Airmiles,

50 miles from 1/4 of a tank? You're not trying hard enough.

90 miles (Firestorm) and 70 miles (SP1) for a entire tank - NOW you're talking.

Calais to Breda [188miles], average speed 125mph in 1.5hrs including 2 fill ups and digi pix of the turbo.
When you get a grin as big as I had the petrol consumption is of no consequence.
PPP max boost was 1.0bar.
Exhaust Gas Temperature 800degC
Oil Temperature 1000degC

My Terzo rocks a big one!

Thumbs up

Bajie

You forgot to mention the third stop....the one in the *outside* lane of the tunnel at 1am just so you could nail it in 2nd through to 5th with the windows down.

My thoughts of what the f*&k is this crazy c*&t doing were soon replaced with a very large grin as the roar of the exhaust, howl of the wind and flashes of flame in the wing mirror assailed my senses....

Long live fast toys. :d

Certainly tempted - I've had a great time when I've been on track on 2 wheels.

Do Scooby track days get split into fast/medium/slow groups? I'm sure my braking point would be a bit earlier than Simon or Stef's !!

If you want REAL gas-guzzling get over to The Ring.
I went through nearly a tank in FOUR LAPS!!!!!! (about 60 miles!)

Well as I'm not a fully acredited member of the bbs I'm not sure I can understand all this technical dialog

But Bajie, what mods have you added to the tez?
And if you will forgive me: Airmiles I think I would need a nappy with these Guys not an L plate.

B

Sorry folks I've just become a regular please don't make me a muppet. I promise to try harder.

Stef,

4 LAPS!!!!! What the F*ck have you done to your car! Injectors the size of bean cans by the sounds of it.

When I went, there were tuned porkers getting better mileage than that. And they were leaving the Evo VI and Scoob STaiiii. They weren't exactly hanging around. They made me in the GSI look like I was going backwards. I was at max attack aswell.

??????????????What is your engine config?
