Limited Editions
After reading the thread about the "limited" edition STI "Ecosse", I was wondering did any other dealers offer special cars. A dealer I used offered a 300R which was a STI with PPP, 18inch Prodrive alloys and all the STI decals taken off and the 300R decals added. I can remember seeing a picture of a 300R at a Prodrive Live day and was wondering has anyone else heard of this "special" edition.

Yeah, Barretts of Canterbury made up a special edition of mostly the same bits as a UK300, though before the UK300 came out. It was far to overpriced and I dont think anyone bought one....

I thought Drive was the only dealer to do this "edition" until I saw the picture of a STI at Prodrive live. If you look in the accessories brochure for the mesh grill (WR1 style) the car has the reg. no. PRO 300R although this probably is just for show, but it got me wondering was this a common thing to do or just a Drive special.
