check out thread " be careful"
these people have prob hi jacked an ebay account. then when you ask questions they'll probably contact you outside of ebay and try a similar scam.
def not right

Hi-jacked account, thats why it has the e-mail address in the description rather than using the ask seller a question....
Ask if you pick the car up in person, bet you cant. Unless he's missed a "1" of the price of course

Dont like the new photo off my new investment !!!!
seriously thou, how does the scam work ?? the item would not have been posted ie. you would have to have had an address to hand over payment and collect the car from or would the seller have wanted cash first which I honestly feel that no one would ever. ( well knowing folks with possible bargains they probably would !! )
anyone care to explain what was supposed to happen then ??

must be a first edition
(you do the maths )
As posted by Paul Palmer, it happened to a mate of ours. His account got hijacked, lowered the price and dealt outside of ebay.
So even when you emailed the listing, it went elsewhere.
I took over the bidding from my poor mate and had some fun with the guy, stringing him along.
He was based in london, but was "on business " in spain...yeah right..and wanted to have a £1000 deposit first. Then we would settle up and I would pick up the car..mmmm me thinks not.
So the scam is for the deposit, cos obviously you will never see the car.
V5Man had to change his whole account, passwords etc, inform ebay.
and then i sent the ****tiest email you can imagine to the tool explaining what a numpty he was
did i get a reply...did i ****, but it certainly cheered me up no end
