that will be the heat from the turbo

run the car for a minute when he arrives at destination and all will be fine

it's nothing to worry about

the heat will still be from the turbo, most noticable from just behind the front driver's side wheel, and it's still nothing to be concerned about

Sod the heat.

Just watch out for smoke if you park on some long dry grass

Nothing to do with the turbo, all my last cars were the same and they were normally aspirated engines. I noticed that there's always more heat generated in the summer so my guess it's something to do with the air con working overtime during warm weather.

Arm on the window sill of my car whilst engine running and car stationary, I can feel the heat rising up the door from under the car after a small blat.

It's rather nice in winter when I'm having a ciggie
