Hi all.I tried sti optional pink dampers with my eibach springs.Car turned to a real hard edged rally car. What a stiff car
It griped like a rally car ,very sharp and direct. It was awesome. On wet i think it will not be good like standard car but on dry it rockets out from every kind of corner and there is no safe understeer left.I will fit them them to my car as soon as possible.Has anyone tried them?
thanks for replies
cheers

Look mate no offence, but do you actually have an Impreza? You've not got a location down, or email, in fact nothing in your profile, have you been to any meets? Do you intend to go to any meets? ie Donnington track day? no need to run, just come along and say hi.
If you don't intend to come along , could you post a pic of yourself with your car, as I have serious doubts you are in fact older than 15.
If I am wrong I appologise in advance, but lack of photo or apperance at Donno will be taken as admission of guilt.

It just seemed a bit strange mate, going to all the hassle of fitting different dampers to your car, only to take them off again later, and then think about buying them, surely the fitting charges of having to do the job twice, amount to more than cost of the dampers.

This is soon going Muppety I guess... but anyway:
Popeye, I like your humor very much most of the time, but making fun of spelling or other mistakes is a big internet no-no, especially if you are targeting furriners.
Mr P1WR (or should I say Yagiz) is indeed a bit tiring with his posts, but no reason to attack him on language grounds.
No flame intented BTW.
Theo [big **** of a furriner ]
PS: Mike, they already own half of it, should be enough :-)

I agree, Theo.
I must admit, when I saw his name on a new post, I was ready with the transfer button. However, his post seems quite legitimate and informative. No need to stoop to lows with petty stone throwing.

It's a big "internet no-no" only if you follow the gospel according to 'alt.flame'. Cheers for the lecture anyway. I've only been on the net for 5 years so I'm still getting the hang of it. Newbies eh? Tsssk..

U lot are tossers, this guy, as i have said at least twice before, is not from the UK and his english is miles better than most of our attempts at turkish and for some strange reason most of you unfairly accuse him of being a muppet and not a genuine scooby owner because his grammar isnt 110% up to your fish and chip standards.

I have to say, I agree with Sunil on this one. Admittedly some of P1 WR's posts have been a bit on the "muppety" side, but we shouldn't discount everything he says - give him a chance.

OK, I'm loosing my temper.
Mr. Popeye, if you're on the net for 5 years, you would know what I meant with my remark. Nothing to do with alt.flames, but more with being polite.
You choose to take it the wrong way, must be my crappy English, I apologize for that. I specifically said that no flames were intented. Was that not clear in any way ? Was my English wrong ? Or do you have your head stuck up your @ss ?
No lectures were meant (you really couldn't afford my lectures by the way), but if you choose to take it that way, fine by me.
Shame there is no bozo bin on Scoobynet mate.

Paul,
P1 WR said he had tried the suspension out but didn't say he had them fitted to his own car. Have to agree with Sunil, how many of us could post on a foriegn board.
P1 WR,
A workmate has a Type RA which is far stiffer than my UK Turbo Series McRae its great for track days but UK roads are very poor and he is currently selling the car for something more refined. Perhaps the Turkish roads are smoother.
Cheers
Lee

Hmmm... okay, fair enough. It looked uncannily like a lecture to me, but I'll take your word for it and offer my apologies. BTW, I'm puzzled as to why P1 WR has had loads of stick, and my one throw away unfunny little joke has made every Netcop on this BBS go ballistic. He's hardly going to be chucking himself in front of a train in a fit of depression after reading it is he? Anyway, sorry again. (Honest).

Hang on a mo...
Didn't Scott J Davies and I have a similar conversation a few months back?
Am I seeing things again, or is it just deja vu? [Can't get the accents folks!]

OK OK I take it all back, but logiclee to quote our friend
"I tried sti optional pink dampers with my eibach springs"
now that either implies that the springs from his car were fitted to a car with the STi dampers, or the dampers were fitted to his car. Either way we are looking at a shed load of work, only to take it off again.
Now it may be a translation thing, if so fair enough, his English is better than my grasp of any foreign language I speak.

My post wasnt reflected at one individual or one individual post. if you read it again you will see that it is after so many of you have slated this guy when all he wants is infomed opinions and advice. Sorry if he isnt as clever as all you tossers who obviously know it all already.
The guy said "I tried sti optional pink dampers with my eibach springs"
Now cut him some fukcing slack (spelling deliberate to avoid censorship), his english isnt as good as ours, he was maybe trying to say "i tried a car with the same eibach springs as mine and optional sti pink dampers.........."

some people actually carry out work on their own cars you know, we dont all send them down to the local garage and pay someone else to do the dirty work. If P1 wants to try different set ups on his car then good luck to him, i just wish more people had enough passion for their hobby to get off their **** and spend their time messing with their cars rather than slagging folk off for doing just that.
