Question idle control valve-newage

idle strated fluctuating this morning 500rpm-1500rpm,got local subaru garage to reset ,has returned but manual reset twice and seems fine-replace ~£80-£250 depending on parts or wait runs fine otherwise, typically 1 month out of warranty-any words of wisdom

I suspect MAF as these effect idle when they start to play up. Probaly about £80 id there similar to the MY99/00
If it's the ISCV their about £400 beleive it or not.

Question

i thought it was maf related told newage maf pretty reliable but select monitor says no-idle control valve with it being intermittent fault only at low speeds between 1500-2000 rpm being juttery like when i had ppp with idle hunting then settling after a while annoying!

sounds like a problem my friend has with his classic and that is an idle valve.
