Hi,
I am selling my 420bhp Celica GT-Four. I have had mail from a scooby owner who wants to px his car for mine but I know nothing about scoobs!
Its a 1999 T reg UK turbo 2000 82k fsh tax and test til next may few mods vf35 turbo newage tmic hks de cat blitz nur spec r.
Ok, so what is a VF35 turbo and what sort of power is it good for and a Newage top mount?
Its a nice looking car, what sort of value should it be?
Cheers for help!

Quote 'borrowed' from scoobyclinic website
VF34 Roller bearing
Group N rally preferred quick spool up.
Upto 350bhp on road fuel
www.scoobyclinic.com
I would have thought similar results form a 35?

He reckons its running about 340bhp.
What about the newage topmount IC? Just a bigger one than standard? What sort of value would this thing be worth?
Its a UK one as well so worth more?

I used to run on a UK MY99
VF35
Walbro Fuel Pump (for more fueling for turbo)
Tek3 (ECU remap)
Full de-cat
3-port solenoid
and that was good for about 310/300 (bhp/ft lb) on a standard TMIC.
VF35 is probably good for upto 350 bhp with the right extra mods, so we're looking at FMIC, ported heads etc. It's a BIG turbo so needs the benefit of a FMIC to spool up. I used to struggle to launch it off the line any quicker than the previous standard uk turbo running 250bhp (PPP) and my 1/4 times were only .1 sec faster for +50bhp . OK so maybe some technique but it was deffo harder to launch - should have been mid-high 12s.

Ta for the replies guys, been a while since i felt a total newbie on a car forum lol.
So the newage tmic is a bit of an improvement on the stock one?
Must admit, it does look like a nice car.. just a bit worried about the 84k miles and possible rebuilds. Especially if it has been running higher boost.

With the exception of Stix, Puff and Michael i have to say im pretty bloody underwhelmed.
If someone posted a similar thing on the GT4 OC looking for help that may ultimately get them into a car that you love and have passion for, there would be a load more help/replies.
Ahh well, gives me an idea of the friendliness I could of been buying into.

I would keep the GT4, fairly unusual and it must shift with 420bhp. Scoobs these days are becoming to common, with a lot of idiots who now own them (not to many on here I must add). I wouldnt change mine though apart from an evo 6
