Default Finally got a Scoob!

Has taken me ages to decide whitch scooby to go for! After hours and hours of research and many cars considered, we decided to go for a Version 5 STi type R.
Went to look at 6 scoobys in total, a blo eye UK WRX being just plain too slow, ruled those out completely. We did look at a couple of 4dr STi's also just to compare, but the difference was noticeable on the road and I liked the edgyness of the type R.
After a long treck involving Stafford – Stockport – Bradford – Blackpool, we found there are some very rough examples out there, the one that looked/sounded the best from the add, turned out to be a dog, problems starting, Engine management light on, scratched to death etc… However we did find this tucked in the back of a 4x4 centre in Stockport:

The car had had one owner who imported it form new in June 99 at a cost of £35K!!! He has now moved on to bigger and better things in the form of a brand new M5…. The 4x4 centre is owned by friend of his family who he asked to sell the car for him, since it was not their stock, they have had it in for 3 months before putting an add in trader for it. We were there less than a day after the add was placed and bought the car, the chap has had tons of calls about it since!
The car has done 62,000Km and has a £4K receipt for a complete engine rebuild done by Subaru at 56,000km Managed to get the car for 9K, witch form what i can tell is a genuine baragin for the car!

Loving the car, its obviuosly not the fastest car ever, but itsmuch fun! handeling is awesome!
