Default Gutted, my impreza was stolen today...

Sorry to make a negative post as a first one but after recently advertising my scooby type r locally and via a sign in the window i recieved a phone call to view it today. 2 lads in their mid twenties turned up and looked respectable so went to the into the house to get the documents from the kitchen and they drove off, totally stupid of me to leave the keys in the car but i guess i was just too trusting based on their appearence.

Anyway all i know is that the main bloke has a geordie accent and i have the mobile number he called from. Police have been round but don't seem to enthusiastic. Totally devastasted as its the first time i have had a car stolen and especially in such an unusal way and i worked hard to pay for it, ally my familly are as stunned as me.

If anyone wants to make me feel better and leave a voicemail for this lowlife thief then the number is 07956 940009

Watch out people they'res some dodgy people out there.

but yeah, sorry to hear that and im not sure how your insurance will react to the bit where you left the keys in the ignition.

Stupid question - but did they touch anything you can get fingerprinted?

Did a google search for that number - looks what comes up

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/52-PLATE-BMW-X...QQcmdZViewItem

This auction is now past. But the same guy is now selling this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-TDI-AN...QQcmdZViewItem

Using the same number. Suggest you bid for it and win. Then pay a visit with the police!

Note sure if this will help. Really sorry for you mate.

In this instance, given that he's a noob and may not return I recommend that a mod email him with the info, just to make sure he gets it.

Just looked and there's not one mod online, let's have a party

ScooobyTR - save and print those EBay auction pages NOW before they disappear.

Handy eveidence that the Police WILL be interested in....I'd be banging on the station door with the printouts if it were me.

Phone could be stolen, but the police will have to follow it up as part of their enquiries.

Guys, we're all sorry to hear about this stolen scoob........I'd be gutted if it were mine but, it might not be too clever to start discussing methods of tracing this **** on a BB........just in case he trawls these sites on a regular basis.

I hope the barsteward is caught and I recommend that we all send anonymous texts to the mobile number.......

Just a thought.

Ok, a bit more info for you. The eBay items are being auctioned by vedubs-man who also used to have the old id of vdudsr32 up until Jan 06. Now, vedubs-man bought this on May 18

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=4640059422

and this on Apr 17

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=4629391733

He also sold this recently

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=9132697217

In all the above it might be worth contacting the seller (or buyer in the last case) through ebay to see if you can get an address or confirm what the guy looks like. Intersting to note that using his old id in 2005 he bought what looks like a new registration plate through ebay.

Quick note - ebay ids get hijacked and mobiles get stolen. So this info could be for nothing as it might just point to an innocent man.

Don't do anything which may arouse suspicion, and removing the details from here is a good idea as this situation may arise again and the less wise the scum are the better for us.

I have to say, I am very impressed with the outcome so far. Well done to those involved
