I saw a trashed McRae at the scrappers today.
Story was that it had been at a valeting company, and two of the young employees took it out for a spin... half the roof was caved in!
Young feejits + Imprezas = waily waily waily.

Prodrive Edition (1994/1995) for-runner to the Series McRae.
Had all the McRae bits i.e interior, 16 or 17 inch alloys (customers choice), lowered springs, Normal , Carbon or Wood Dash effect (again customers choice).
and came with a Dash plaque similar to the McRae.
Performance pack was introduced at the same time as the McRae, so some had that too (Chipped ECU, RamAir filter)
Mine was as below :

WR Sport never had any offical numbers.
It was a Standard UK with a number of Prodrive add-on's similar to the above. But for Model Years MY97 - MY00.
I think you had to hve a certain number of items from the Prodrive Catalogue before you could gain WR Sport status.
Some WR sports had £1000's of pounds worth of kit (sometimes upto around £10K extra), including Alloys, ECU, Exhaust, Bilstein Suspension and Electric Seats/Recaro Interior.
Mike Wood @ Prodrive (who posts on here) may be able to help you out as he has access to individual car records that have offical Prodrive upgrades.

Thanx for the info ....very informative.
So in the Haynes manual it indicates that approx. 200 were made that had the FULL Prodrive goodies applied i.e. Elec recaros (The proper seats lol), ECU, exhaust, Bilstein shocks etc. Does that not count as limited even though a Number plaque is not assigned?
Can MIKE WOOD Please stand and testify lol
...and where can a certificate be attained to show that the car has had this 'upgrade'? via VIN Number?
