What are you looking for? If you can't find a 'P' or an 'R' reg UK scoob with FSH in that price range then you're not trying. If you're after a WRX then you'll get very little service history.

pah,not damn trying my ****, for god sake, iv done nothing but look and look for ages, i only want white, so there is my main problem, a uk one or wrx im not bothered, would ideally like a uk, but all the ones i find are owned by bradford indians who have NO service history for the car, no history for a uk car for god damn sake,i ask ya !!!!

so, if anyone can find me a white uk car for MY BUDGET of no more than £4500 then please, feel free to show me !!!

Ah. White. I see your problem.

Why white, though? For a white car to look good at that age you're looking at a massive t-cut job or a respray, don't you think?

Ok so you cant find any white ones with history.
what options do you have ? well apart from continuing your current search method.

How about if no service history, pay accordingly ie drop price to the cost of a major service with all belts/ fluids / set of pads etc, have a figure in mind say £800. Because it wouldnt take long to mount up to that. Agree this before travelling.
If seller doesnt agree, move on. They have to see your point of view, damn sure they would try the same if they were in your shoes. If they stump you, keep it in mind and ring them 2 or 3 weeks later.

Have to say I think colour is less important when buying second hand. But good luck anyway.

Shame, about 6 months ago you could have had my old one for £3250.

Kepp looking mate, you'll get there in the end. IMO the car you're looking at is overpriced. It's not a facelift version and even though it's had a few bits and pieces done to it, doesn't increase the value very much.

Just keep looking and make sure that all the paperwork is in order, there aren't any nasty noises coming from engine/suspension/etc. If in doubt, get it checked out.
