VW Golf Drivers
Hi i've not been on here much before but have got to ask you all.
Do you think VW Golf drivers are the scum of the earth?
Everytime I drive my hubby's scooby I can gaurantee if anyone tries to race me, cut's me up or even just gets in the way it's one of them! I don't know if they don't like seeing a woman in a fast car or if they feel they've got something to prove but they all drive like complete ar**ho*es.

I'v owned,modded,raced and crashed (in that order) 3 Mk1 Golfs and 1 Mk2 Jetta, So I'd have to say , ...yes

Now I'm all for a bit of banter and windup but if you really seriously think that they're all "scum of the earth" then you need to grow up.

90% of people who start this kind of thread can be catorgarised .....
1. They have not long had their scoob
2. They think the scoob is a raging beast that everyone else wants to beat
3. They came from the sort of car they are bitching about.
4. They feel superior even though they are driving a car which costs less than your average rep mobile
5. They are **** ..........
That about sums it up in my book

LOL. I love Golf's still actually, and often look at the newer V6 jobbies. Could see myself in one of them actually. gatecrasher3 how does the VR6 compare with the Subaru?

I have a 90 brake golf TDi not much you can race in that and an impreza(and an mx5) coming back from Leeds the other week i had GTTDi pushing for a race, just let him go as i know my Impreza it quicker so whats the point in proving it to him.

The Golf GTI TDI 150 bhp is a right tool. Mid range it will eat most non modded Scoobys upto 110mph on a private road. Believe me I've been eaten alive by one (and I have PPP)

I quite fancy a 150 TDi you can get them chipped upto around 180/190 which would be nice. Cheaper than the old scoob to run as well.

Over here in the States, VW is running an ad campaign that has GTI owners being taunted by an evil rabbit called "Fast."

Subaru has recently countered with this ad..well, as displayed by import model Natalia on the back of the current issue of Subiesport Magazine:
"When you go from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds; you don't need a made-up character called Fast."
Caused a huge uproar in VW owner forums over here.
