Default Ouch! 60k service

Alright guys I need a little help.

I've just booked my MY00 Bugeye WRX into a certain Subaru Garage in Peterborough for it's 60k service which includes cambelt.

It's due in at the end of the month so I've time to look around.

How much does all that come to I asked

£750 !!!!!

That seems massively expensive. To top it off I need a courtesy car for the day which they want another £10 to cover their insurance costs! Cheeky B@st@rds.

I live in the Cambridge area so I'm open to contact details of other places I can get her seen to.

Anyone have any names/places/contacts?

Cheers guys.

Rich

there are subaru dealers in Norwich and Ipswich and Bury St.Edmunds, it might be worth seeing them for a quote? Suabru home site list all the dealers, you could look on SIDC unders the links section and see if you can find someone who can do it at a more suitable price?
Good luck!

A good independant would be far cheaper and if you found a good one (like subaru4you) you'd get a better job done too, IMHO.

I paid £670 or something for my 4 year/60k service at a Main Dealer 2 years ago - the extended warranty depended upon it.

Yep, there's simply no reason to pay stealer service prices unless they have you by the short and curlys with the warranty. Although if the car is being serviced exactly in accordance with Subaru UK's schedule, especially if its by a specialist, warranty shouldn't be an issue.

My MY01 is booked in to Cutlers of Streetly (Aldridge) for it's 60,000 miler on Tuesday (last service before my extended warranty runs out) and they said that it would be around £420 (still a fecking lot).

Are you on 7,500 or 10,000 mile interval services for your MY00??

I've just booked mine in for the 50k with cam-belt. I'm providing the oil and filter, have a lifetime air filter and don't need brake fluid. He will be changing the coolant as they remove the rad to make the belt easier to fit, but it came in at £180+vat. 60k next time will probably be bigger as it will need all fluids, fuel filter and plugs.
