JDM cars are probs the only ones that follow the 'numbering' correctly ..................V7&8 are bug-eye........... V9,10 &11 are blob-eye.... and N12 is the new current shape...........
this is how the gpN cars are signified.................

The numbers weren't used after STi V6 which was 2000MY. Alan is 100% correct, the latest Group N car is 06MY which is N12. To add to the confusion there won't be an N13 for 07MY either, it'll probably be N14 as the WRC car will be S14.

Stop using STi7-8-9-10 ...........The STi with numbers after finished with STi6. After that cars are catagorised using MY (model) years. The only variant then is if the car is a JDM or not. Easy
Damn ....Mike beat me to it ..... Note to self, read all the replies before commenting.

Perhaps you need to re-evaluate your opinion of the dealers, whose ignorance youre using as justification? An '05 STI is not an STI9, its made-up bollocks.
