500 miles a week in a modded Subaru
I am looking for a subaru for my daily commute to work, 500 miles a week, c 26000 miles a year.
I am getting a selection of good uk cars and highly moddied versions, which I prefer, but worried about reliability with this sort of mileage.
Advice gratefully received. I'm have little technical knowledge so I am totally reliant on someone else doing the servicing etc for me, and so should I opt for the safer route of a standard car and then mod myself thru TSL or similiar. But this is likely to be expensive than buying one that has had the work already doen.

TBH mate this sounds like a bad plan.
With that kind of milage you should be getting an old banger/diesel car for your commute and something fun like a Scooby for the weekends. If a car has been correctly modified they can handle high mileage without undue reliability woes. Would you really be benefitting from the performance of the car on a commute though..rush hour trafic etc.... You'd also need to take into acccount running costs, which will be very significant with this mileage.
Edit: Just seen another one of your posts: looks like you run several performance cars like this: apparently you're not hard up for a penny or two!!

I do about 15k per year in my modded STI. If you are going to be driving allot, it might as well be in a nice car!!!
I get a fuel card from my work which is probably why I can do this though!!!
No problems with the car appart from rear shockers (warranty)
