I am going to be getting my windows tinted soon and i wanted to know what is the spray tint like?????

Has anyone used this is it good and does it last??????

Whats the positive and negatives of spray tint????

The negatives are it could make you look a bit of a chav!

I have the film tints and am pleased with the result, but cant comment on the spray stuff mate.

is it more expensive??

Never knew you could get spray tints .
Had mine tinted a couple of weeks ago and very pleased with the look

The negatives are that if the front tints are too dark then your car is illegal and you could get pulled.

As your glass already has a light tint, even the addition of a low %age tint will take them over the limit.

I would think that getting the spray even would be VERY hard, I think the spray is for rear lights and small areas rather than fall windows.

I have film tints on my sti-prodrive and they look superb as the entire car is black (apart from the gold wheels). I also told my insurance company too - keep it all above board. Can you guarantee thickness with the spray and hence keep the tint legal? My insurance company will insure up to a 30% tint.

They might insure upto 30%, but as most windows come with some tint on already be careful adding additional tint. To be safe and not attract any unwanted attention I would personally not have the front windows done, or get it measured with a similar device that VOSA use when inspecting them at roadside checks etc...

This should tell you enough about the legalities
