I'm in the same boat as you, deciding if I should get a Euro import delivered to my front door with reg plates, registered etc for £16,695 from http://www.litimports.co.uk or buy it from Holland myself.
After you have exhanged currency added VAT, collected from Holland, bought reg plates, registered it with UK the saving by doing it yourself is minimal if you go to the right broker.
try http://www.keyring-cars.co.uk here also.

The STI in Germany otr is £21,900 LHD
which means in Holland it should be £18,000 + VAT.
