Surprising how heavy the bonnet is....
...on my Uk Classic.....having just lifted the bonnet on a WR1 and felt how incredibly light its alloy bonnet is compared to mine.
Could add a few bhp may'be if i shed some weight off my classic?

Yes youre right.......what i should have said is if you could somehow shed 200kg from the car it would make it a bit more nippy i guess.

Why not simply get a grey Impreza and bin the UK version, much lighter and more power in stock version. The boots are ally as well aren't they?

I was shocked the other day at how much heavier the classic bonnet was to my bugeye one.
You would have thought this would be the first mod any classic owner does, considering how often the bonnets have to be lifted on them
