Question

Those bizzar orange grill/vents under the indicators on my MY99, what exactly are they?
Have already decided my job for the weekend is to pull them out rub 'em down and spray 'em black.
Just wondering how they come out? Do the just pull out or are they clipped in some how?

Anyone in the know?

Laters

Eds on the nail there - unscrew indicator and remove and just pop them out from behind

I think they are just vents that let air get to your brakes. You can strip the paint off them as they are black underneath or rub em down and paint over the top

Cheers

I dont think you need to unscrew the indicator, when I bought my from Robinsons, they just popped onew out. I got them colour coded as my first "extra". They look cack on DBM or DGM cars in that orange colour.

When you have an Impreza behind you with them painted orange/brown it makes the indicators look much bigger than they really are.

Other than that, another barmy design point, see also "bright button".

Just pull from the front whilst gripped lightly with some pliers.

If you are painting them, doens't matter if you mark them slightly. Didn't damage anything when I had them out that way and sprayed them black.
