I have a MY98 (s) Reddish blue turbo 45k on the clock in VGC with extendid 2year warenty, Only mod is a P1 backbox.
I went into a local garage last night and had a look at a 1995 TVR Chimera 4.0 with 18k on the clock and loved it. The garage offered me 11.5 k for the scooby but I am still due 12.5 on the finance. Does this sound like a good deal for the scoob, the TVR just got a grand nocked off it last week and is now for sale for 16k. Has anyone just bought a scoob like mine and what did you pay for it?? I told the garage I wanted 12k and if they could do it phone me back. Should I wait and see what happens, or just go for it. Does anyone want my scoob for 12k.
any thoughts welcome
Cheers

Due to the miles I do to get to work the scooby has to go. The TVR will be used on nice days only and as a second car. I will be getting a pug 405 for evey day use.

Be wary. TVR prices are all over the place at the moment. I've seen '96 4.0 Chimaeras for 12 grand! Never buy the first that you see and a full service history by franchised dealers or specialists is a must. On the plus side, the 4.0 Chimp is the most bulletproof TVR made and they're pretty easy to maintain with the Rover V8.
So, shop around a bit as there are plenty of dealers who are well overstocked at the mo.
