HELP! PLUG OR DECAT PROB?????
hi guys, just after putting new ngk 7b plugs in my car which is a 00 sti 4dr, and also a full straight through system with open throat decat down pipe, at 5k revs the car i think is fuel cutting, would the straight through system cause my boost to rise and the ecu to cut fuel????????????????????, i have no boost gauge to read the boost yet. next prob!!! i was told that car would run lumpy with these plugs when cold but car is running like sh*t, even when warm, its mainly in first and secon, and taking off from stop, you dont have to dog it for it to happen but it seems to be breaking down or missing rite up to 3k revs, i dont know if this is plugs or is it fuel cuting this low in r3vs because of exhaust???????? help me please, am supposed to be getting tek3 remap of andy forrest end of month to make use of mods, would this be prob??? anyone exp similar, car was perfect b4 plugs and ex....
cheers

More than likely its your downpipe causing overboost due to the greater air flow (and increased boost). The 7b's are a cooler plug, did you have 6's in before?
I should add that my MY03 JDM has NGK 7's as standard and it doesnt run like a dog when cold!

Sounds more likely that you have damaged the coils.
Never yet seen a problem with PFR7bs in any model scoob.
What gap did you set them to?
Needs to be 0.7mm
