Default What do you think of the UK300?

Looked at number 40 yesterday, a very nice example with 31K on the clock?

What's the story on the car, seemed good at everything so it's just the styling that I question?

Gotta leave the car as is yeah? Anything I should be aware of?

Which UK300

as far as i know, there were 2. one in blobeye shape and one in the bugeye.

I dont know a great deal about the bugeye version, but the other is just the WRX with

1 an number
2 different interior
3 for light covers
4 doesnt have foglights behind the covers (same as STI's)
5 it has PPP (prodrive performance pack) fitted as standard 265ps
6 Gold wheels (not sure if thats good or bad though)

Off the top of my head thats all i can remember mate. As for leaving it standard, there values too have plumeted, they wont ever be like the 22B, they were not unique enough, so for that reason, i would say do what you like with it

The UK300 was a 2001 model IIRC, which consisted of a bugeye WRX with various styling tweaks (replacement headlights, wheels, rear wing etc). Most of them had the PPP, which at the time was only good for 245bhp.

I believe the later blobeye model was called the "WRX300", which has features as described by Evolution.

The headlights look even worse than the normal bug’s, the spoiler is horrendous and the PPP’d ones were only 245bhp.

Either get a normal Bug and get a replacement STi spoiler and an ECUTEK remap.

not all uk300 had PPP, 18inch OZ's, styling was by Peter Stevens (McLaren F1 bloke), ment to reduce high speed lift. i'd get one (wait a min i did). personally i like the look/styling but not to everyones taste.

186 left, wow how did you find that out??

The headlights are miles better than the normal bug ones surely?

I've got a standard wrx and if i was going to change the lights i would get the UK300 or sti ones.

they were a special edition model that came out as "best at the time with no plans to make a more powerful model"...and then in typical subaru manner they released the sti-just another wrx with some extras on it if you like it get it or buy sti for same price!
