I was visiting a friend last night for dinner. Parked the scoob in front of his drive. Had a lovely meal and a great time…. Until we left, some ****** sprayed about 6”’s of black spray paint on to the back bumper of my silver car.

Is there anyway this can be removed, or will I need to get the whole bumper sprayed?

Should be able to remove it easily enough - if you wait a few days until it is fully dry, then sand it off with 1200 grade wet and dry ( used wet - but be careful not to sand too much ) - once its all off the bumper will look matt rather than shiny where you sanded it - polish this with something like T-Cut scratch remover or Autosol metal polish and it'll be good as new.

Best solution at the time would have been thinners on a rag, it would have come straight off. But now its dried not much chance of thinners working sorry.

T-Cut can remove it. Get to it early before its fully bonded. Do you polish your car frequently?, this should make it come off easier.

These stories really annoy me. What has this idiot really achieved by spraying paint on your car.

I mean do they really get something out of doing this!! What is the point.

I would love to catch someone doing this - get it quite alot on my garage door (garage in block btw)! but yet to see them doing it.

I polished it about a week ago, so i'll try the T-cut first, if not i'll give the sand paper a try.

Neil W, I know I wish I'd seen the low life who did it, more than anything just to ask them why?

Sod t-cut and paper!

Go and get a tin of Cellulose thinners from Hellfrauds or a Diy store.. it will take it straight off if the paint is only a day or so old.

I can't remember what it's called but the police in manchester recommended some stuff to my mate who's van was covered in graffitti and this stuff took it off a piece of cake.

Failing that try your local council as they use plenty of graffitt removers, but make sure it's suitable for using on your car.
