Talking

Just back from my dealer and have a huge smile on my dial. I HAVE JUST HAD A RUN IN A NEW WRX AND ITS FANTASTIC. Forget those ugly photos. This car is hot and looks so bloody good in the flesh that the old wrx looks really dated by comparison. Better seats, and quality finish to rival or better all the other cars on the Subaru range. The car had only done 20km so as you would expect it was real tight and the guy didnt want me driving it hard, so i didnt. Feels as quick as the old one and its a much softer & smoother ride. Goes round corners like its on rails and I tried and couldnt spin the wheels in the torrential rain we had yesterday. Its also quieter than b4 and i swear that scoop has definately grown even further out of the bonnet. I will have a silver one next week as soon as they tint the windows and put in the sunroof. Any more info just ask me.
QUESTION: The dealer told me to stay away from window tint as he says the rollers in the door actually end up tearing the tint film. Is this true? Any real life experiences out there who can help? I'm still gonna tint it but I just wanted to hear from the real scooby drivers.
happy driving.

If I recall, the WRX is the Australian name for the Uk spec standard turbo (approx 160kw)? Is that right or did the one you test drove have more power?

What's the going rate in Aussie dollars for the MY01? Also do you know if Subaru Australia are going to bring in limited numbers of MY01 STIs like they did with the previous version.

I will be out in Sydney for a few years (from 2002) and am considering an STI for then.

No I don't work for the company...but am keen to get my car..3 days they tell me.
It costs $42,990 in OZ plus on road costs of about another $2,300 so about $46,000 on the road which at current exchange rates is about
17,500 pounds...Air Con (semi climate control) is std and u get the alluminium bonnet and racing pedals. The WRX I am referring to is the 2.0 litre turbo 160 odd KW...220bhp...
Its awesome.....

Slovakia Huh?? mmm.....
So I suppose there's no chance of ever seeing one in the metal for you.

What sort of car do YOU drive?

If you ever had an opportunity to drive the car you too would be excited!!

Where the hell is Slovakia anyway?

Don't post any more replies to this comment...
I was being facetious...
Sorry for the confusion...
I know we are backward in OZ...still 3rd world country I think....
However....
We do own Maps....
Oh...and we have TV as well...
I do know where Slovakia is.

But many thanks to you Geezer for spelling it out for me.
Cheers
