RS6 = 444bhp, 413ft Torque. Weight 1865kg
New RS4 = 414bhp, 317ft Torque. weight 1650kg
Power to weight, the RS4 is quicker on paper. In the real world though, theres **** all in it really.

like i say standard classic facelift wagon.
Have to give nuff respect to a car that looks like a tank (!!) but can shift like the RS's can. Cant stand the look of them myself. Not my taste, but damn, it can go!

I reckon I would go for the RS6 estate as like my scooby it is a wolf in sheeps clothing, no one expects to have their **** kicked by a 4 door saloon same as no one would expect to have their **** whooped by an estate car. It is a bit like the modern day Volvo 850 T5R

RS4 standing 1/4 13.2 @ 108mph. 0-60 4.7 secs, 0-100 in 11.2 secs
RS6 standing 1/4 13.0 @ ? 0-60 ?? etc
Both are faster than any standard Impreza but not by a huge amount...
In the 6 months I've had my Impreza, no-one has really tried to race. I'm not disappointed really, but as this is the first "fast" car I've had, I'm interested to see how it compares. Guess I should get myself over to Santa Pod...

I had a race with an RS6 once whilst on my 600cc sports bike (Yamaha R6) and on the straights I struggled to keep up, once we got to 120mph he left me for dust...not many cars can do that.

I have now had my RS 6 Saloon for 3 weeks and although very quick it is nowhere near what my Twin Turbo Porsche was in any gear.(meant to be 4.7secs to 60mph) Porshe was 4 or less with the upgrade engine and sub 9 secs to 100. It is booked in to Star Performance in Kircaldy next Saturday for a Re-Map (engine and gearbox) and Milltek exhaust to 510 BHP. That will give it the same Power to weight as the new M5 (1830 kg/ 507bhp) v RS 6 1840kg/510BHP) Ought to sound nice.
Getting new Harmon Kardon IPOD player fitted tomorrow.
It is filled with toys and the heated electric leather Recaros are fabulous.
Just bought my son a MY2000 Impreza Turbo this week so we can compare before and after Re-map.

My old mans had his new RS4 now for just over a week. God it looks and sounds the dogs. We're going to wait till its got a few thousand miles on it, take it out on our favorite road over the pennies, and see how it compares to my 05 STI PPP.
Audi do make the best cars. Just total quality inside & out. It look awsome from the back .......... side and front for that matter. Makes the scoob look and feel like a tin can

I had a tangle with one (RS6) in Hertford a month or so ago. I have a standard MY03 WRX. I was driving along laughing out loud to myself - just couldn't believe what a monster it was. He toyed with me for a couple of miles - shooting off and waiting for me to catch up. I thought I might be able to at least stick with him a bit in the corners - WRONG!

Plus, I've been wanting to sell my Impreza. 10 Month old, £30k spec. Value now??? £16k book price. That's almost a 50% hit in less than a year. His RS4 will vertually not lose a penny for at least a couple of years. The old RS4's are still going for over £30k. Less for high milage ones. Even a 2003 Audi S3 is worth more than my car.

I've got an S4 Avant - by no means a slouch Prior to this, I had a MY99 UK Scoob.
The main difference I've noticed is the smoothness, rather than the push-back-into-your-seat. Which, if I'm honest, I have missed slightly, but that's moreso down to driving style.
The cars are totally different beasts - (S4 - 2.7 V6 twin turbo 265bhp/300 lb ft Scooby 2.0 Turbo 215bhp/214 lb ft)
Kerb weight 1250 (Scooby) 1570 (S4)
In the Scooby, everytime I got in and fired it up, I felt like I had to don the helmet and do up the harnesses!! "3,2,1 - go!"
Great feeling
With the Audi, you don't feel as tired after driving it, but you do get one hell of a performance buzz.
As others have said, it's the only thing that could tempt me away from Subaru.
And very happy I am with it too. Already got a list of mods (only 2 weeks old!! )
But it already has a level of luxury, comfort and build quality that Subaru can only dream of.
I went for the S4 rather than the RS4, as I'd never really driven Audis before, and wanted soemthing to "test the water" with.
My next car WILL be an RS4. But not for a while yet - enjoying the current too much!

They are aimed at a totally different market, i.e Luxury executive sport
I don't see how you can compare the Two.

Wait untill youve had the s4 avant a week or two with some long runs under the belt, then tell us about the comfortable seats, sore point on the s4 forums.
