Default Good News - Tesco 99ron roll-out

Cut a long story short, I work for Tesco and the company have decided to have a massive overhaul of the 99ron fuel.

1.Massive Sponsorship campaign with Rallys....ok no-one cars but....

2. If you local Tesco PFS has 97ron, it's being upgraded to a 99ron one within the next couple of months. First major roll-outs will start this coming Sunday night, with the North-East and North-West having the major initial roll-outs ( mostly due to the fact dan saff already have 99ron ).

Finally!

Tesco can sponsor the Space Shuttle and start marketing Rocket fuel for all I care....I'll still fill my car up with pond water before I darken the forecourt of any Supermarket petrol station

Not even for 3p - 5p a litre less for a higher RON rating?

I've just bought my first tnkful from Tesco's in York and my Missus will be doing her shopping in Tesco's in future (knocks another 5p/ltr off!)

I agree with some of the earlier messages, the quicker Shell responds to market pressures from the likes of scooby owners like us and reduces the price of Optimax the better we will all be. But in the meantime I'll live with Tesco's.

I run a 94 import scooby with 280 ps, and it has been happily running using Ultimate from B.P. with absolutely no problems at all . The car is used all over Scotland in sprints, as well as a daily driver, and I for one will be into my local Tesco's like a shot as soon as 99 octane appears. If you don't belive me about Ultimate, e-mail B.P. like I did for the tech specs.

I prefer Optimax to BP and will only use BP in an emergency.
BUT, my car was mapped to Optimax.
Aint tried Tesco, i live in middle of UK, i cant expect to have it here, they only ever look after London area with anything. **** everyone else.

Tesco's 99 is only 1p per litre cheaper than Optimax at my local. So much for cut-price supermarket fuels !!
