Two points behind the seat. One either side of the seat. The other two straps are the groin straps. Do they come from the same point under the seat or two seperate points?

actually perhaps not, someone else say one bolt two belts .... one either side of your nads, spreading the load and stopping you singing Soprano..

Willans 6 point instructions:

"Crotch straps should not pass over the front or sides of the seat but through it, in order to wrap and hold the pelvic region over the greatest possible surface.

The location for crotch strap mounting should be to the rear of the driver and 250 to 300mm apart. See figure 7."

Fig 7 shows the lap straps eye bolts directly below the drivers hips and the crotch strap mounts much further back, right behind the seat in the floor.

Not sure I understand how the eyebolts can be below my hips and the crotch strap mounts much further back? The crotch strap is bolted to the floor via the eye bolts?

think by crotch straps he mistaken them for the side belts..............

the info you have above is correct Gary, although normally you can have the crotch straps much nearer the vertical, shouldn't be raking any particular loading - simply to stop you "submarining".................

 

So the straps coming up through the hole in the seat 'crotch straps' are mounted to the floor via one or two eye bolts under my hips. Thats the way im reading what your saying?
