Warranty Time Once Again MY00
Guys
It's warranty time yet again for my MY00....
Today I received the good old renewal letter from Subaru Warranty Services (OMG check the price)
Subaru Impreza Turbo - £864
For a Full 12 months
Are they having a laugh? .....
Anyone else in this situation? what to do?
1. Leave the warranty totally and have fun with some MODS
2. Go and get a warranty from a 3rd Party Company (Any suggestions who)
Cheers

I think they are politely saying "We don't want it"
Pay that into a bank account and over 3 years you'll have enough for an engine rebuild. Nowt else costs 3K to replace.

I second that, was in the same position in November, wasn't prepared to pay nearly a grand (just in case), heard bad things about the small print on 3rd party warranty's, so banked the money, get the car serviced regularly (at a decent dealer/scooby specialist).
So long as you look after them, don't go 'mod mad' they are pretty bulletproof.

Yes same here, my 3 years ran out in Jan, £864 renewal is IMHO taking the p***.
Rang warranties direct, just for a quote, had a very nice chat with a lady sales person until we got to the make and model bit, at that point she laughed and said we don't cover imprezas.
In the end decided not to bother at all, only time will tell if that was a good decision.

No, if it did then it would be no good for me because i don't drink. it looks like all those that are now taking out extended warranties are paying for all those engines that have gone BANG!

At that price....no way!! Look at it this way, if you were unlucky enough to have your engine let go, you'd have £900 towards the rebuild. The warranty might always have tried to wriggle out of an expensive claim on an older car anyway.... and I've heard pretty scary stories about dealer rebuilds!
Yours is a UK car, so be very unlucky to suffer an engine failure anyway, unless you abused or neglected it. This is now your ticket to do some mods if you wish!
The AA Have a scheme which covers up to £1500 worth of repairs ever year for about £80. Might be worth looking into?
