who else has splashed out £25 for a look at the Motor show, hopefully without aload to kids running adout the car stands etc!?
as it is half the price the day after (£12)and only £6 for children!
are we meetin' up at the Scooby stand at 12 noon then?
shall we walk round with SIDC membership cards stuck to our heads so we know who to look out for?

Yep, got my holiday booked and tickets have come through - I am going preview day 19/10/2000 .
Hoping the £25 will keep the majority out .
I am hoping it will look better in the flesh.
I will post pictures if anyone is interested probably on Friday.
cheers

A few years ago i went on a "trade day" - cost a fortune parking, cost a fortune entrance, and full of kids whose dad (or mum) worked vaguely in the car industry.
Good luck, and let us know how it all goes,
mb (who works near the NEC, thus will be severely impacted by the increased trafic)

I'll be there nice and early for the whole of the preview day
I went to the Press Day last year and that was just superb - free goodies, no crowds, unlinited access to all stands and cars plus some nice females
I actually had a VIP Subaru invite for this year's press day but I have a business commitment which cannot be cancelled. What a bummer!!!!
See you there!
PS Are we meeting up at The scoob stand at some point!?? 12Pm ??

Boomer,
I go to the motorshow (NEC only)on trade day every other year (mate owns a car spares shop) and last time at the NEC was a joke, just like a normal day, we just rang up and they sent us tickets. Hoping this year is a little better, only one trade day instead of two but only business cheques allowed to purchase tickets.
My experience at the bike show a month after is posted above. Very unhappy with the NEC that year.
Cheers
