Whats your favourite bit of the dashboard?

Big button, looks like it ought to switch the light on in your kitchen or launch the space shuttle - right in the middle of the centre column.
Its true purpose is to make the clock light brighter or dimmer depending on your preference.
*editied due to incompetance*

How about the fact that there's no indication on the dash to tell you you've got your headlights on? So for the first 3 weeks I would get in on a morning, drive to work and not know until the flashing started that the other half had left them on the night before. How the other drivers would laugh as they donned their shades!
Also (on the MY01 WRX) anyone know what the "Fuel Door >" bit means on the instrument panel? It doesn't seem to do anything?
Cheers

Well if we're going to get silly about it - don't you think the cup holder on the arm rest is completely unuseable?
I agree with you though, the bright switch is v nice...)
(Oh, and I like the little red picture of the car that lights up when one of the doors is open....)
It's friday, and I want to go home!!

After the bright switch, my fave bit is the light in the ashtray. Subaru obviously thought that neither the headlamp washer button or the radio needed lighting up when the headlights are on, but my old chocolate wrappers and pay and display tickets did.
BTW the found a petrol receipt when I tidied it out and it cost 59.9p a litre. Aaah, they were the days!

AFAIK the Fuel Door > on the dash points to the side of the car that you fill her up on
End Quote
Nathan,
Cheers for that! What will those cunning Japanese think of next?
I've spent ages messing with the filler door/cap, central locking etc. trying to get a light to come on.
I think they forgot to fit the "EXIT" signs to my doors though
