*Obviously* the bright switch but I also love the left-to right air control ;););)

Is it true that WRX's have had the bright switch 'designed' out:)

Steve001 19 October 2001 01:25 PM

Is it me?

Or is 'ScoobyNet' becoming silly!!?

Roger The Cat 19 October 2001 01:25 PM

ummmm, it's Friday

Nathan L 19 October 2001 01:28 PM

No my MY01 WRX still has the bright button although its now on the indicator stalk !!

Nathan..

POC 19 October 2001 01:35 PM

bright switch?????????

Roger The Cat 19 October 2001 01:37 PM

Big button, looks like it ought to switch the light on in your kitchen or launch the space shuttle - right in the middle of the centre column.

Its true purpose is to make the clock light brighter or dimmer depending on your preference.

*editied due to incompetance*

POC, if you've got an old WRX it doesn't have the bright switch! :)

POC 19 October 2001 01:43 PM

I WANT A BIRGHT SWITCH!

Beemer_Deano 19 October 2001 01:47 PM

How about the fact that there's no indication on the dash to tell you you've got your headlights on? So for the first 3 weeks I would get in on a morning, drive to work and not know until the flashing started that the other half had left them on the night before. How the other drivers would laugh as they donned their shades!

Also (on the MY01 WRX) anyone know what the "Fuel Door >" bit means on the instrument panel? It doesn't seem to do anything?

Cheers

Dean

Steve001 19 October 2001 01:48 PM

who wants to start a 'Group buy' for the bright switch!! :D:D

oops now im getin silly

ScoobyCharlotte 19 October 2001 01:55 PM

Well if we're going to get silly about it - don't you think the cup holder on the arm rest is completely unuseable?
I agree with you though, the bright switch is v nice...)
(Oh, and I like the little red picture of the car that lights up when one of the doors is open....)

It's friday, and I want to go home!!

Nathan L 19 October 2001 02:03 PM

Dean

AFAIK the Fuel Door > on the dash points to the side of the car that you fill her up on http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/togo.gif

Tim Taylor 19 October 2001 02:07 PM

Don't cry Paul ;)

ScoobyJawa 19 October 2001 02:50 PM

My Stereo, that way I can turn it off to listen to the exhaust ;)

JJamess 19 October 2001 03:09 PM

Steering wheel

mbc 19 October 2001 03:10 PM

i love the switch which turns the wife and kid off

and i hate the tacky drinks holder

Ga22ar 19 October 2001 03:13 PM

That wonderful little flip down compartment just under the dash to the right of the steering wheel... It's just not big enough to put my wad into...

zoog 19 October 2001 03:15 PM

The bit my girlfriend uses to brace herself when we have a quickie.

SWRTWannabe 19 October 2001 03:19 PM

After the bright switch, my fave bit is the light in the ashtray. Subaru obviously thought that neither the headlamp washer button or the radio needed lighting up when the headlights are on, but my old chocolate wrappers and pay and display tickets did.

BTW the found a petrol receipt when I tidied it out and it cost 59.9p a litre. Aaah, they were the days! :)

Nathan,

Cheers for that! What will those cunning Japanese think of next?
I've spent ages messing with the filler door/cap, central locking etc. trying to get a light to come on.

I think they forgot to fit the "EXIT" signs to my doors though :D

Dean

Roger The Cat 19 October 2001 05:03 PM

Yup,

the armrest cup holder is only any good for holding some CD's in it, and then they rattle....

The bright switch rocks - I want some for my house.

Jon
