![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
thinking of purchasing a 94 wrx ra .
It does'nt have side skirts and no fog lamps so thats a tick !
No roof vent either but I think they are only 96 onwards ?
The main worry which puzzles me is that its Red and not the common Ra white ?
Did JDM have a Red wrx ra in 1994 ?

Yes, a 1994 Wrx Ra could be red. It shouldn't have a roof vent, it's the STi Ra's that have them.
Also look for the intercooler water spray.

As Normski has stated; A and B series Type-RAs are available in 'Vivian Red' and C(1)-Series cars are available in 'Active Red'. WRX Type-RA models do not come with a roof vent; this is an ignorantly-perpetuated myth..... as is DCCD!

no DCCD did not appear until late V2 STi cars.................
we have a customers '94 RA in the garage at the mo' for an engine upgrade, that was converted by us about 2yrs ago from a RED road car into a "stage" car...............confirmed by the VIN plate at the time that it was original

No, definately not. DCCD appeared in the 1995 model year STI Type-RA which was an altered production car (Type-RA Applied Model Number); they are all white with a roof vent.
People tend overlook the fact that in the Classic Impreza range, the Type-RA was the cheapest entry-level model; not the most desirable (thats arguably the WRX STI Type-RA).

But how desirable are the closed decks now over the std blocks.

The early STi RA's were built to order and the customer could choose whatever specifications they wanted to have. Therefore, not everything is clearly black and white. The same applies to some of the other variants.
