Pics of Prodrive rear wing?
#1
Hi,
Could someone please point me a thread with pictures of the Prodrive WR (or something like that) spoiler, that had the Prodrive text on the left/right side? The wing has only one horizontal "level" - not two.
Thanks a zillion!

Has anyone here had any dealings with performance subaru, wasn't overwhelmed by their response to my email sent in July, like none.
Looks like their web page has been updated recently though so maybe I'll try sending it again.
Cheers.

I mailed them yesterday with regards to their STI V spoiler and got an email back within two hours. Haven't ordered anything from them (yet ) but they were OK with regards to email for me.

Ro, you're right, there are no prices (dunno why).
Hence why I mailed them to find out how much the V5 spoiler was, how easy it was to fit, etc.
Would be nice if they showed the prices

mega,
I'll post the details they sent me...or at least verify.
I think, off the top of my head, the V5 spoiler was 340 UKP all in. 18 UKP for delivery to Nottingham, England. Will confirm details when I get home and can read my mail
This was for the spoiler unpainted.

Just checked my email and fortunately I did quote the right prices
Haven't bought anything off them, still weighing up the options (Tom you are still in there )
I'm crap at making decisions though, so this may take some time

Cheers for the price m8
Andy we all know your car looks good although I've not seen a pic of it from that angle before
Thats not a bad price for the V5 spoiler though..I wonder if they are good quality..I too can't make my mind up what to do about the rear spoiler, I keep telling myself that I'll get one "next month"
I was ready to get an sti5 one from DRM on Monday, but Dave said he was off to watch the Corsica rally so it got left again
Still goes in tomorrow to be colour coded, so the bets on that I'll order one next week
The voices in my head are telling me do it do it

Thanks so much for all the replies!
The reason I asked, was that my rear wing was nicked FOR THE SECOND TIME WITHIN THREE MONTHS!
It's absolutely unbelievable how easily the spoiler can be stolen. Service guys at the Scooby importer wondered how the spoiler even holds @150mph, since the mounting is so poor. There's just ~1mm of fibre glass around the metal bolts.
Now I'm getting the one-level Prodrive WR/RB5 wing, hoping that it won't get stolen as easily because it's easier to track. I'm gonna get it SUPERGLUED on its place... also thinking of putting a small sticker in the rear window, saying that it can't be stolen wihtout causing substantial damage.
So far all stolen spoilers (FIM 10.200,- == GBP 1040) have been replace by replicas that cost half the price - and insurance company loves that - but they promised to pay me anything up the the original retail price if I want another spoiler... if that'd help at all reducing the risk of theft. nice
QUESTION:
The WR Spoiler shouldn't be more expensive than the original one? (hope not!) If it IS outrageously expensive, are there replicas available? I remember I once saw some figures around £700.... (which would be OK) ?

It's a sad fact of the times that a fairly high percentage of the spoilers we supply, are to replace ones that have been stolen. And this problem is not just in the UK, but in most countries.
The ones that seem to be popular for thieves are the standard MY99-00 style. Probably because they are only fitted with 2 bolts either side, and are relatively easier to prise off than an STi 5 style that is normally bolted / bonded along the bootlid.
We have recently been supplying spoilers with security cables built into them that are then fixed inside the bootlid, in a hope that they stay with their owners.
But no matter what spoiler it is, if someone takes a fancy to it, they normally do a lot more damage to the bootlid in their attempts to get it.

Received a reply from Jonathan at performance subaru, their prices seemed a bit steep (as HEL mentioned only just under dealer prices), but they have a good selection of goodies on the NEW AGE section of their web page now, worth a look.
