Track day today at Oulton was awesome.
Morning sessions were quite lairy due to plenty of surface water and rain, ran my normal road tyres and drove accordingly, started off in the intermediate session with a few different mixes of cars, no probs at all.
By lunchtime the sun was baking the surface and out and on went the slicks. I negotiated a wristband that allowed me and my passengers in any of the 4 organised sessions, beginner, intermediate, advanced and Warrenders own session.
Plucking up the courage myself and banshi braved the advanced along with a 500bhp escort group N cossy, left hooker beemer,M3 maybe, again group N spec with all the bits, westies, caterhams inc Easytracks own car, Porsche 911s, turbo's etc......we stood up well and reeled in the westies and caterhams, Porsches and would've had the Beemer were it not for an irate yellow caterham who couldn't beleive he had a scoob stuck to his tailpipe and was slowing me down at every corner, we eventually passed him and that session was coming to an end (20 min sessions).
Then out with the Warrender peeps, oh and RC Development boys. Some of these including Simons (Warrender) were running circa 380bhp with suspension and after market bits to boot......no probs I've never been out with Evo's before and can only say it was brill
Many thanks for the help and support from friends Slider and banshi, (barry, the exhaust held on the way home ....ta )
Hope you've settled down now slider and dont feel sick any more
Stef if you're reading this mate, Big Graham (trackday organiser/ex-banger world champion/minder/big person) says hello and hopes all is well
Craig, the slicks were the bizz.......awesome......grip like never experienced before

Sounds a top day wish i'd been there
Whats the track like? I was with Trouser when you were chatting, so you biting the bullet?
The grip of slicks is imense, remember to rotate them? The more I thought it may have not been as big an issue with yours through the anti roll bars etc.
Skip.

Blatant Self-promotion Mr Y, have you thought of signing up Max Clifford?
Skippy, too true mate, the day was made for you! and I think you could provide an answer to your own question.
Cheers
