Hi All
Just picked up my classic Impreza turbo wagon last weekend and joined the forum.
Couple of questions if anyone can help?
Car was registered in Aug 1996 so does this make it MY97? There is a D in the chassis number which according to a buyers guide I bought should make it a 97.
The two vents in the bonnet don't appear to do much as they are blanked by a plate on the inderside of the bonnet. Anything to gain from trying to remove these plates in terms of letting out excess heat?
The fog lights look very vunerable to stone damage. Can I get plain plastic covers from anywhere?
Keep grinning like an idiot after every drive - what a car!
cheers

hi and seem as no one else has said it, welcome to SN.
not sure about the chassis numbers, hears a 1998 car which also has a D in it.
Cant find anything about spotlight protectors, but they have lasted this long, so there not doing bad so far, never had a problem with stonechips on my classic
As for the vent, from memory the left vent is directly above the battery, so living in the UK with all the rain, i wouldnt think it were wise to remove, however, i think i took the right one off, no idea if it made anydifference, probably not im guessing.
Hope all goes well with your new motor, get a few pictures up
