Default Cold air intake or Short ram intake

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Cold air intake and the Short ram intake, both are from Injen.

I assume they are both some kind of induction kit. The difference between the two I do not know, however I would say I doubt either will aid your car. Unless of course you are running biiiiiiig bhp and its a necessity

Yeah they are both induction kits. Had one fitted in my 04 Celica T-Sport but can't remember if it was the cold air intake or the short ram, as for the preformance bit it gives you approx 10 -15 bhp gain by allowing more air into the engine and paired with a decent exhaust up to 25/30 bhp increase resulting in increased accleration (didn't alter top speed any) very handy when over taking

Or it increases inlet temp and reduces power, like it did on my STi .....

What kit did you have fitted? Can't see how a cold air intake will increase inlet temp though

Trying to remember the name of the kit now ....... Trust something or another .....

When it was mapped by Richard Bulmer the inlet temp was 14 degrees higher than when it was removed and replaced by a green cotton filter. Dont ask me why, ask Richard he is the WRC technician
